City Club Webinar with Senator Anthony Portantino

The San Marino City Club is pleased to have the Honorable Anthony J. Portantino, California State Senator, as our featured speaker for the San Marino City Club’s September 15, 2020 virtual meeting. Senator Portantino will discuss bills from the 2020 legislative session, the impact of COVID19 on the State and a vision to recovery, economic opportunities and development in San Marino.
Senator Portantino represents Senate District 25 in the State Legislature. A former Assembly member, he served three terms in the California State Assembly representing the 44th Assembly District and served two terms as Mayor of La Cañada. He is married and a father of two daughters, a community volunteer and tireless advocate for public education and accountability. Senator Portantino chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee, the Select Committee on California, Armenia and Artsakh Mutual Trade, Art and Cultural Exchange and he is a sitting member of the Banking and Financial Institutions, Governmental Organization and Insurance Committees.
Senator Portantino represents over 930,000 people in the 25th Senate District which includes Altadena, Atwater Village, Bradbury, Burbank, Claremont, Duarte, Glendale, Glendora, La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta, La Verne, Lake View Terrace, Los Feliz, Monrovia, Montrose, Pasadena, San Dimas, San Marino, Shadow Hills, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena, Sunland-Tujunga, and Upland.

The San Marino City Club is a non-profit civic organization that since 1926 has been dedicated to obtaining for the citizens of the San Marino the best civic, educational and cultural services and facilities possible, and to encouraging and promoting the highest standards of citizenship among its membership. City Club membership is open to residents of the San Marino Unified School District, officials of the School District or the City of San Marino, persons who conduct their business or profession within the School District or persons who have a significant and ongoing relationship with the San Marino Community.
