Tournament of Roses Rose Court

The San Marino City Club and the San Marino Rotary Club in a historic first of its kind joint meeting are proud to host the 2022 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Queen and the members of her Royal Court at a meeting to be held November 16, 2021 beginning with a reception at 6:00 p.m. and a dinner event following at 6:30 p.m. at the San Marino Center.

 According to the Tournament’s website, the Rose Queen and members of the Royal Court serve as ambassadors for the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community and greater Los Angeles area. Each member also received a $7,500 educational scholarship.

The finalists were chosen from among hundreds of applicants based on criteria that include public speaking, academic achievement, youth leadership and involvement in the community and their schools. The theme for the 133rd Rose Parade is “Dream. Believe. Achieve.”

 Doors to the San Marino Center will open at 5:45 p.m. and dinner will start promptly at 6:30 p.m. For those unable to attend in-person, the meeting will also be available to register via Zoom webinar as we have throughout the pandemic.

 COVID PROTOCOLS: All participants will be required to show proof of vaccination or a current negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the meeting. Masks will be required to be worn inside the San Marino Center except when eating or drinking. Please enter the San Marino Center from Huntington Drive.

City Club and guests can register and pay for their guests via the City Club’s website located at www.sanmarinocityclub.org. Children and their families are also welcome to attend this live and in person event for $30.00 for adults and $20.00 for children under 18 payable prior to the start of the program by also pre-registering for the event at the City Club’s website located at www.sanmarinocityclub.org. You do not need to be a member to attend this special event.

The San Marino City Club is a non-profit civic organization that since 1926 has been dedicated to obtaining for the citizens of the San Marino the best civic, educational and cultural services and facilities possible, and to encouraging and promoting the highest standards of citizenship among its membership. City Club membership is open to residents of the San Marino Unified School District, officials of the School District or the City of San Marino, persons who conduct their business or profession within the School District or persons who have a significant and ongoing relationship with the San Marino Community. Membership provides the member with eight meetings that feature timely, important, and informative speakers of both local and national interest and on a wide variety of subjects, and the opportunity to meet many of San Marino’s elected officials, city and school district leaders and of course its wonderful citizens.
