Dinner meetings are at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday (generally) of the following months (please note the Events menu for exact dates as there are exceptions):
- January through May,
- September and October: San Marino Center,
- November: Tournament of Roses Queen and Court night, enjoyed by daughters and granddaughters.
Unless otherwise noted, each dinner meeting is preceded by an informal reception beginning at 5:45 p.m. at which time members can meet old friends and make new ones. Guests have the chance to meet City Club members and discuss local issues or the topic of the dinner meeting.
Members are encouraged to invite guests to dinner meetings so they can be introduced to the activities of the City Club and meet the current members. It is often the case that guests will already know many if not most of the people in the Club.
Outstanding speakers are featured at each meeting. In the past, these have included Members of Congress, the Governor of California, other state officers, members of the State Senate and Assembly, county supervisors, city officials, CEOs of major companies in Southern California, Federal and State judges, presidents of local universities, award-winning authors, leading scientists, entertainment executives, and sports celebrities. Speakers for the current year can be found on the Events menu and a list of guest speakers from 1991 through 2020 can be viewed by clicking the Events Schedule menu. If available, video of the featured speaker’s presentation will be linked to the Video Archives menu. RSVPs for all dinner meetings should be made online. PayPal payments for guests can be made on our Dinner Reservation Payments.
